Located in a Denver destination for kids of all ages, this webcam cache makes a great family outing. AVAILABLE 10a-5p WEEKENDS ONLY THROUGH MAY. OPEN EVERY DAY STARTING MEMORIAL DAY.
If you look at the map and know the Denver area you will probably guess where the webcam cache is located. There is a very small and reasonable fee to enter the park. Currently $3 for adults and $2 for kids 2+. Also a train ride for only $1. Fees go to the non-profit organization that maintains this historic Denver landmark and other local charities. Plan on making this a fun family day and stay awhile. The train ride is worth the whole trip!
To bag the cache, stand in front of the camera and have someone take a screenshot of the website with you in the frame. Be sure to post the image when you log the cache. The website is www.tinytownrailroad.com. You should bring a cellphone to contact your "screenshooter." I got great reception, so it shouldn't be any problem. They update the picture every 10-15 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a WEBCAM cache. Please do not submit pictures that you take on site and then claim credit for this cache. The whole point is to rise to the challenge of coordinating someone to get the screenshot while you are in front of the camera. Digital photos taken onsite will not be allowed.
