We have wanted to put a cache near here for several years. We hope you will enjoy the spot we finally settled on. It has a beautiful view of Nevada Lake and the valley. Below the cache site is the location of the historic Fitzpatrick Ranch Buildings. These buildings currently belong to DNRC as they are located on the flood plain of the lake. Unfortunately the buildings, including a once beautiful early day Montana Ranch House, are falling to ruin. Currently the Powell County Museum is working to acquire the property to restore and preserve.
It's a great area for fishing and wildlife viewing area. Earlier this summer we were awestruck as we watched eight bald eagles soaring high and playing over the lake and mountains in the twilight of the day.
