Welcome to the Alabama Autobahn!
This WAS one of a series of caches all along this bypass, known locally as "the Alabama Autobahn". As of 2013, most of the caches have been archived, with just a few left active for those seekers looking for "placed on dates" for various challenges.
This series was designed so that, if you are so inclined, you can start at one end of this Interstate and make your way to the end, where the bonus cache awaits! But, which way will the bonus cache be, at the Southern or Northern terminus???? In the end, you will either be less than 0.5 miles from the cache, or 33 miles!
However, it was also set up so that you can do this series at your own pace. Live in Hoover? Start at cache 10 or 13, and decide to go either north or south. Live in McCalla? Start at cache 1, and head north! East side? Grab #32 and head south! So on and so forth.... Do this series at your leisure. Each cache stands alone, except for the bonus cache!
If you are from out of town, enjoy these on your drive through. If you are lucky enough, you might be heading in the right direction to get the bonus cache!
Please bring your own pen, and use stealth! NOTE: This is one of the last remaining Autobahn caches, so the bonus is no longer in play and there are no coords in the cache.
