Geocache Description:

Warning: seek this cache at your own risk.

Caution: This cache is in or near a public hunting are. Please use extra care if you choose to go geocaching during open hunting season. Iowa's popular shotgun deer seasons are ususally the first 3 or so weeks of Decemeber, but the specific dates vary from year to year LINK

If you've done a night cache before, you can skip this next paragraph:
This is a night cache, meaning you are meant to do it in the dark. You need a flashlight, a basic 2D cell should work (though I haven't tried like that yet). You use the flashlight not only to see what's in front of you, but also to find the reflectors that will guide you to the cache. It it best to hold the flashlight eye level, making it easiest to the see the reflectors. When you see a reflector go to it (do not take the reflectors!), and again hold the flshlight at eyelevel and scaning the area to find the next reflector. Continue doing this until you either reach the cache. It is always a good idea to waypoint your car, plus a couple places along the way, this is especially true for night caches!

For this cache, start at the given point, and shine your light to the NE to find the next reflector. Went you first past threw the wooden gate you want to get on the path directly ahead of you (across a small un-mowed ditch). Other than the puddle/ruts in the path you should do have to cross water or food plots(corn field). Toward the end you'll have to go threw some grass/weeds woody area, but not too far. As you would expect warmer months mean more bugs and plants to contend with.
It is always a good idea to waypoint your car, as well as a couple places along the way. You can see some of the reflectors from both directions, but I would still mark some points as you head out.

Work your way from reflector to reflector until you reach a group of them(3-4), at this point you need to turn off trail. The cache is a decon container (2"x4"x6" plastic container).

Oh before I forget!, this area does have a closing time. Its officially open from 4am to 1030pm (unfortunately all of the state parks, county parks like this area, and city parks close at either dusk or 1030).
