Geocache Description:

NOTE: Only people in the photos are allowed to log this cache. All others will be deleted. --O

This cache is located on a street and is accessible by anyone. The Septa Trolly 11 and 36 stop right in front of the webcam site.

The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) is currently building a new Science & Technology Center on what used to be one of their biggest green areas. As such, there was a webcam there and it now being used to show the progress of the building. The state-of-the-art Science & Technology Center will support advanced learning with a 400-seat auditorium, general use classrooms, computer technology facilities, and teaching and research laboratories for biology, bioinformatics, math, physics, and computer science. Its planned completion date is fall of 2006.

Your task is two fold. The first one is to get a picture of yourself via the webcam with your arms in the air. The second of which is to get a picture of the camera along with your GPSr and the street sign saying where you are.

The coordinates put you next to a traffic light. Looking North-East-North you will see the camera above Griffith Hall.

Logs without the two required photos may be deleted at my discretion. The webcam appears to be available from 7 am until 10 pm. Additionally, it's NOT possible to get an acceptable picture at night!

Please note this webcam is NOT mine and may go down at any time. Please check it before you go out. If you need any help getting it a picture, feel free to e-mail me. Additionally, there might be an issue with people using IE. You will have to install activeX control (or something like that). It will tell you what you need. Using FireFox should require no additional software.

How to take a picture: The easiest way is to open up the webcam page. Once you see the person you want to take the pictures of, you hit the "print screen" button on the keyboard. Then you go to your photo editing program (MSPaint comes with all computers running windows, if you don't have a different one), then you paste the image in there and save it.
