Geocache Description:

...smell our feet, bring us something good to eat.

When: Saturday October 22, 2005
Where: Spitler Woods State Park located in Mt. Zion, IL
Time: 3pm - ?

Come join us for an afternoon and evening of fun and friendship at our wiener roast at Spitler Woods State Park. Hot dogs and buns will be provided, bring a side dish to share, your beverage of choice and chairs.

In your log please post the following:
1) How many will be attending in your group.
2) What side dish you will be bringing.
3) If you will be camping in the park that night.

We have a pavilion reserved for the day which has several grills and a fire pit for the chilly night air. Tent camping will be available for no charge in the park that night for those that wish to stay.

There will be several event caches along with a night cache or two in the park the day of the event. There are several caches in Mt. Zion along with three permanent in the park itself for you to hunt while in town.

Put this event on your watch list since there will be updates to this page as we get closer to the event. In the meantime if you have any questions just drop us an email.

NOTE: There are a few campers that have offered to help fix breakfast on Sunday morning. Eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy are on the menu so stick around and enjoy a good ol' camp breakfast! There will be a donation pot to help cover the cost of the meal, or you can bring food to add to the meal. Email us if you need ideas of what to bring.
10/5/2005: Events for the day/evening so far are: scavenger hunt for the kids, kid caches and two night caches are planned. There will also be horshoes (and any other sports equipment the park office has) available that day/evening also. We plan to have smores later in the evening so plan to come join the fun all day!
