Along a small trail near the Oneida Community golf course
Third time's the charm! The first cache was stolen, so I relocated it. The second cache was well-hidden (or so I thought), but later the area became a paint-ball war zone, and the second cache was stolen as well. This cache is hidden much deeper (although still near a small trail), and it will take a determined effort to find.
This cache is near a trail that runs through the Oneida Community golf course. I recommend you park near the clubhouse at N43 03.615, W75 36.475, then follow the PAVED narrow road to the trailhead at N43 03.729, W75 36.582. Then walk in the direction of the sign pointing to "No. 9 Tee", but follow the trail straight back into the trees. You may have some trouble with your GPS signal because of tree cover, but I was able to get a weak signal all along the trail. Whatever you do, DO NOT wander out onto the golf course! Follow the trail straight, then turn left on a side trail when your GPSR tells you to. The trail may be quite muddy in wet weather. You will need to branch off on an even smaller side trail, and make a short but moderately steep climb. This location is no longer snowmobile accessible, and if you try to get to it on cross-country skis, you'd better be an expert! Walking to it should be no problem if you are in reasonably good shape. There are some fallen trees to scramble over. You may have to deal with mud and bugs.
