Geocache Description:


This is a multi-stage cache combining micro, virtual, and traditional caches. The posted coordinates are for the first stage. Though not a requirement, it is suggested obtaining this stage after 11:30 am!

Stage two can be located from information found at stage one.

The coordinates for stage three are derived from the following information found at stage two: When did Lee and Jackson form the plan? X=mm + dd + yyyy. Y equals the sum of the digits in X. Solve the equation N=174673Y + 10. W=352169Y + 5.

Stage four (final) coordinates are derived from the following found at stage three: When was the town incorporated? N=2678255 + mmddyyyy; W=6587062 + mmddyyyy. After arriving at the parking area, there will be a short hike on a fairly well defined trail. Be advised the GPSr may get erratic while leaves are on the trees, especially on cloudy days.

This final stage is a traditional cache except we are requesting finders to leave their personal geocache cards or exchange travel bugs. If you have designed a personal card, please leave one inserted into the card file for others to see and another in the Ziploc bag. The cards in the bag will be periodically scanned and posted on this webpage. If you happen to have a travel bug that needs to move along on its journey, please utilize this cache for that purpose. However, all cachers are encouraged to locate this ammo box and make an entry into the log book.
