Geocache Description:

Cache is above 10,000 feet. Fairly easy hike if you are used to the altitude, gets tougher at the end.

This cache is located on the way to the Santa Fe ski basin. You can access cache from either the big Tesuque picnic/camping area or for a shorter hike park at the Aspen vista trailhead (35 46.628 105 48.635) From here you will hike for a little over a mile on a dirt road, which if you take it all the way comes out on top of the mountain at the radio towers. When you reach 35 46.159, 105 47.638 (coords. slightly off? see logs for alternates) take the trail to the left which follows a small creek up into the trees. From this point you are pretty close to the cache which will be on the left hand side of the stream. (Use caution - this is where the terrain rating earns it's 4 stars! ) You may have difficulty getting a good fix on your GPSr, so start looking for some small clearings up on the bank to your left. once you are here you are very close to the cache, which is a big camo'd tube. Since this cache is pretty remote I didn't go to a lot of trouble to conceal the container, and it should be pretty easy to spot.
