J.F. Gregory Pt: Deux Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Prfctly Mad: This cache was destroyed by water. I don't get out that way much anymore to do the Maintenance so I archived it. I didn't want to leave a poorly Maintained cache out there. Maybe someone else will put one here

Geocache Description:

This is the New cache in J.F. Gregory park. The route to this cache is a nice concrete/Hard pack path with little or no obstructions and a number of places to rest. Cache is a little difficult to get to but not too bad. I wouldn't let a young kid retrieve this cache.

This cache is the ammo can that many of you might have seen at the dogs house. I decided that this Excellent location Needed to be a full size cache because there is more than enough room for one. This cache is located along a Paved/Hard pack trail that will take you through some of the wetlands located within this park. Be advised that there are Allegedly Gators and snakes in the area. There are also some of the biggest spiders I have ever seen. The cache is 1/2 mile roundtrip from parking. This is an excellent park to bring the kids to there is a nice playground and Many other interesting things to look at while in the park. The trail is an Easy walk with many locations to rest along the way. This park is Beautifully maintained so CITO is not required.

Here is the write up about the park: J.F. Gregory Park is a unique park operated by the City of Richmond Hill and dominated by a ten-acre lake and a 300-acre rice field that predates the Civil War. This 35-acre multi-use recreational area, located adjacent to the City Hall and Public Safety complex in downtown Richmond Hill, is the ideal setting for weekend picnics, and afternoon strool or jog, canoeing, birding (warblers, waders, and waterfowl of all types), fishing, hiking, or those annual family reunions in the pavillion. A fascinating 3-mile walking trail was built on top of a dike that encompasses the historic rice field which today is a wooded wetland. Look for otters, beavers, alligators, and armadillos while walking the trail.
