Kehly Run and the Mossy Tributary Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Park @ N40'50.110 W076'11.797 off of Route 924 just north of Shenandoah, PA. Then follow the path to part one.

This is an easy/medium difficulty multi-cache consisting of 2 parts including the cache itself. Please park at the listed coordinates. Should have no problem bringing the kids along but wear Orange during hunting season.

As I designed this I tried to make it night and winter friendly. If anyone knows any history on the area please drop me a line, the creek you first come upon is "Kehly Run" (thus the cache name) then later as it drops down into Shenandoah Valley it becomes "Shenandoah Creek". The bridge is obviously man made and there is an old foundation nearby possibly part of the Kehley's run colliery see this

I used to frequent this area as a younger man, there are some nice sights (like the bridge) and some not so nice (the beer bottles and the metal chair?). But overall, still a neat area not far from Route 924. There is a campsite near the final area where I used to hang out loooong ago. Hope you enjoy.
