Geocache Description:

A multi cache in 2 hops!

If a frog is in a circle and he hops half the distance to the edge and then half the distance again and continues to do this then he will never get out of the circle.

Well site back let me tell a tale of such a frog it is a sad tail with many a death and toil and of the heroic attempt to beat the odds and find the “Big Pond”.

The hero of our tail is a Frog called Rivett. If you are brave enough to follow in his pad steps the you will find Rivett last hopping place. The following little ditty helps to prepare the scene as his tail is now part of frog ledgend.

I'M A LITTLE FROGGY
(sung to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot")
I'm a little froggy,
Slick and green.
I once was a tadpole,
As you have seen.
Then I grew some strong legs
While swimming about,
And now I'm a frog.
Hurray, let's shout!
"Rivett!"

The Puddle

Rivett was born in “The Puddle” located in the area you have been directed to. This was back in the days of old before the great droughts and in the time of flooding rains. The was a happy place full of frog spawn and playful tadpoles. Rivett was a cute tadpole that had a dream. He had heard rumours of climate change and the need to either evolve or find the "Big Pond". His dream was to be the one to lead his fellow tadpole when they emerged as frogs to the promised "Big Pond”. The only hint he had was a voice from a far away child singing I'm a little Frog. And the a number (X) of springs on a large pole of red and white near the pond. He worked out the number pointed to a word in the Poem. And using simple maths (He was a smart frog) he calculated the coordinates of the first leg of his journey:

S 35 18.((Sum(letters values of the X word in poem)x11)-20)
E149.03. ((Sum(letters values of the X word in poem)x9)+46)

So one fine rainy morning he set of with a giant hop. No one followed him and alas they were never heard from as they all perished when the big drought came. Many days passed and he arrived at the Big Structure.

The Big Structure

Here he found a lovely little area to swim and play and met a new group of frogs who spent their time paying homage to the Big Structure. He had not seen such a thing before and he spent days looking at to find a sign. He told the others of the coming of the Big Drought and the need for the "Big Pond" but they said they had the Big Structure to protect him.

Then one morning he saw the sign. He remembered the poem “I'm a little froggy,” He saw the number of large monolithic rectangular supports (Y) for the big structure and he used his same trick again knowing it was more than guess work that some form global positioning deity or system was guiding him to the "Big Pond" He sat and pondered and worked out his next goal.

S 35 17.((Sum(letters values of the Y word in poem)x9)-27)
E149.04. ((Sum(letters values of the Y word in poem)x8)-28)

So he set of knowing he was getting closer. The others said “No we won’t go! The Big Structure will save us!” Alas they were never heard from as something fell from the Big Structure and polluted their paradise and they all died.

The Big Pond (almost)

Rivett was happy after days of travel he knew he was near the "Big Pond" he could smell it. Then one day he entered a shaded area that sloped down to the water that seems to go for ever. He had arrived! He hoped on to a rock looked and smiled as he had found what he had looked for the “GPS” (as he had come to call the guiding force in him) had been good to him. After many days of travel he was almost there. He hopped and slipped and fell into a gap where he laid trapped and died. To this day you can find many offerings to the “GPS” at this location in memory of Frog Rivett.
