The Jones-Keeney Natural Bridge is the creation from years of erosion. The current stream at one time had flowed over the top of the formation, but now flows underneath. This occurred due to years of erosion to the softer rock below the surface creating a pocket which expanded from the water's movement. Through time, the water found joints in the rock's surface which continued the process of eroding the rock underneath until you got the current span that we see today.
