A short hike and grab...
During the placement of my nearby Big Stone Lodge cache, I stumbled across this area. I never knew this pond existed and decided to place another cache here too. This is a city park, appropriately named "The Pond"...those clever Poway-ites, Poway-ans, uh, Poway-uns!
There is trailhead access at Paseo Colina and Golden Eye Lane where you can make the short 5 minute hike to the cache site. There is a dirt road, Sunwood Trail, which might get you a bit closer, but it is posted as a Private Road/Keep Off.
The cache is a cammo'ed peanut butter jar with room for smallish trade items. Please rehide better than you found it.
