This cache is hidden on or near the newly reconstructed bridge
carrying Mission Blvd over alameda creek. This bridge has recently
been widened and at the time of the placement of this cache was
almost complete. Just down stream from this point you can see the
inflatable dams that they use to control the flow of water down
stream. Some times the creek is almost try, when I placed the cache
the dams were inflated and the water was almost to the top of the
channel.
Alameda creek runs through Niles canyon and flows to San
Francisco Bay ending near the Dumbarton Bridge. Bike trails run
from this point on both sides of the creek down for about 10 miles
ending at Coyote Hills Regional Park.
You will probably need to park and walk a short distance to the
cache as there is no parking on Mission Blvd. Better yet park at
SuperGenius #20-More Niles Canyon (GC9F8A) and bike over here as
you head down the trail.
The coordinate where checked using two GPSr's and were allowed
to settle until they both matched. Initial contents include a
Californa Quarter and Steve Martin Buttons #631, #632 and #633.
Congratulations to KennyHannahJacob on collecting the FTF.
