This is a logging road, so don't bring your Cadillac with a new paint job or your Porches with low clearance. All other vehicles should be OK. No hiking and OK for kids.
This geocache is near the site of the old Black Pine Forest Fire Lookout site. It haslong ago been torn down this site with only concrete blocks remaining. On the way up (over 7700 feet)you will be able to see where the Combination Fire of the 1980's burned and see all of the new growth of trees. Watch for fallen trees over the road, chipmunks, elk, moose, grouse and lots of deer in this beautiful area of the John Long Mountains.
