All-A-Glow Night Geocaching 2005 Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

GreenfieldParksRec: It is now 1 month since the event so time to archive this one.

All bugs were picked up - looks like there are 4 that are yet to be logged - those have been marked missing so the owners know - if you happen to have one of those, please grab it.

If you have yet to log the event, you still can when it is archived.

Geocache Description:

The Greenfield Parks and Recreation Dept invites you and your family to join us for our Fall night geocaching adventure! A fun evening with a Sloppy Joe dinner, Night Geocaching and Urban Campfire.

All new hides. All new hides. All new hides. All new hides. All new hides. All new hides.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2005

Our evening will begin with

SLOPPY JOE'S AND COSTUME PARTY!

Sign in begins at 5:00 PM at the Greenfield City Hall. Show up in your costume (optional, but strongly recommended - restrooms available to change out of your costume if needed before caching). Please bring your pre-signed registration form to speed up the sign in process. (see registration form below)

We are asking for a $2 contribution per person to help off set the costs of this event for the Parks & Recreation Dept. Other donations accepted. Seating for approximately 125 people will be available but then we can eat in shifts if necessary

Homemade Sloppy Joe sandwiches (made by AuntieNae's mom) will be provided starting at approximately 5:30 PM. We are asking you to provide the rest, based upon your last name (just a suggestion, if you see we have something in the posts, bring something else, if you have a family favorite, bring it).

    • A-L: Salad (pasta, fruit, potato, jello)
    • M-P: Beverages (milk, juice, soda) or Chips
    • Q-Z: Desserts

NIGHT GEOCACHING (now in 2 parks!)

Our event will move to two locations: Greenfield's Konkel Park (N 42* 57.502 W 87* 58.708) and Greendale's Community Center Park (N42 55.936 W 88 00.495) where the trails will be a "All-A-Glow" with all new (12+) temporary night geocaches from approximately 7:00-9:30 PMish! Caches will be "family friendly" if you like spiders and other creepy things. Bring your headlamps, flashlights and glow in the dark items. No trade items necessary.

    URBAN CAMPFIRE

An "urban" campfire in the back section of Konkel park will add that special touch from 7:30-9:30 PM ish. Enjoy roasting marshmellows and making S'mores. The concession stand will not be open since we will have S'mores. Our intent is to have an opportunity to meet up and talk with your geocaching friends and family. Bring your camp chairs!

JUST NIGHT CACHING AND THE URBAN CAMPFIRE?

For those unable to join us for the Sloppy Joes, we will be able to offer a "Just Night Caching and Campfire" option. Join us at the Konkel Park Portico between 7:30-8:00 PM to check in. Please bring your pre-signed registration form to speed up the sign in process (see registration form below). You must register at the park BEFORE heading out to find the caches.

    GLOW BOWLING (N 42* 59.231 W 88* 00.349)

The evening is not done yet for those who wish to join us for GLOW BOWLING at AMF West Bowling Lanes (76th & Oklahoma) from 9:30-11:00 PM. The cost for bowling, including shoes will be $7.50 per person. As we need to give the bowling alley a tentative count and that they have enough lanes reserved, please indicate how many will be joining us in your post below. Money will be collected by WhitnallGPS. If you would like to just join us for Glow Bowling, meet Whitnallgps there around 9:15 PM.

To register, post a note. Please include the following: How many adults and children. Which portion(s) of the event you are joining us for: SloppyJoes/Night Geocaching/Campfire and/or Just Night Geocaching/Campfire. And, if you are joining us for the Sloppy Joes, please indicate what you will be bringing, you can update your post as the event gets closer. If you and your group would also like to join us for glow bowling, please indicate the count in your "will attend" log.

This event is is being planned by: Renee Vanselow "AuntieNae" and Brian Tapp of "The Tapps".
