Geocache Description:

This is the fourth in a series of micros in scenic and/or historic places around Western New York. The title of the series is very fitting if you know me and my feelings about micro caches.

For those of you who grew up in the area durng the 60's & 70's you may remember a tiny amusement park, "Dealing's Amusement Rides". As a child, my Mom used to take me there as a treat in the summer after she got off work. I have many fond memories of the ferris wheel and my favorite, The Little Dipper rollarcoaster. While searching for this cache, look North past the bike path and you can see where it once stood.

Here's a great post from Daisy2006 - 6/19/2007 I want to thank you for this memory lane cache! Came back to the area to visit my Dad, and started Mrs. Crispy geocaching! Dealings have ALOT of GREAT memories for us! When we got married in 1970, it was our first apartment in the upstairs of the still standing brown two story house. While we were away on our honeymoon, the Dealings added the dormer to the apartment which gave us a huge bedroom. And the bathroom up there was the size of the kitchen, complete with a claw foot tub! And we LOVED the train going by our living room window all summer long. I was the favorite aunt with nieces wanting to come visit and go on the rides! And downstairs Mary Dealing was the most wonderful landlady we ever had! THANKS for bringing back all those good memories!

And thank you Daisy for sharing that wonderful story.

Cache is quick and easy with a short walk. Park just inside the entrance of Ellicott Creek Park and just follow the path across the boulevard.
