Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Manistee National Forest.

The Burnt Pine Barrens cache reside in an appropriately marked and painted ammo box in a unique area which exhibits an example of natural reforestation following the occurance of a fire sometime ago. New life amid the bones of the past. A word of caution. Vehicular approach from an easterly direction ranges from difficult to virtually impossible, depending upon the wetness of the season.
