A Road To Nowhere Traditional Cache
toppercat: I am not replacing ammo cans anymore. They keep getting stolen. This cache lived a good long life and I thank all who have gone for it. Thank you. Time for a new and better cache. Toppercat

A smaller size Ammo box filled with the traditional fun goodies.
I decided to place a regular sized cache instead of my usual micro in honor of my 100th find. Yeah yeah yeah, I know... big whoop. But none the less a milestone for me, and a new fun cache for the cachers out there. A bit of history of this site. There used to be a road here, along the Des Plaines river. Kind of a useless road very similar in usefulness to a human appendix. What did they do with it? They closed it down and let the forest take over. The cache is located on the site of this road. Call it Bender Rd or the Desplaines Illinois Appendix, but I call it a fun cache. Not too hard. I rated it fairly easy. Bushwacking is a tad necessary. Watch for spiders as there were a ton of them nearby. Also watch for those sticky sticker seed thingies. (That's technical nature jargon) There are first, second, and third place ribbons for the first three finders. Good luck. I placed this cache and found out that another area cacher, eyeseeit, was thinking about the same cache placement. I suggested that he place one on the other end to make a pair. That way people can get the whole "feeling" of the travel down this historic road. I am glad he placed one. I would suggest doing these as a pair. As it states in his listing, you can park at one and walk it to the other, or drive to both and find the parking and search for it. Either way, I hop you enjoy these caches.
Congrats to Miles of Smiles for the FTF
