Geocache Description:

Did anyone see where I left my truck?

I wanted to get a message to Tony and Katie, so I thought to myself, why not let the Pony Express deliver it? OK, so I didn’t think it through. Anyway, the Pony Express took it as far as they could before running into a dead end. So, I borrowed a friend’s Red Dodge Pick Up to deliver it myself. OK, so it wasn’t it my best idea. Not sure I could get the message past the boarder patrol, so I hid it in the wheel well. OK, so I wasn't thinking. I started out at about 11:30 PM and stuck to the back roads. Lost one of the headlights shortly after turning onto a rather bumpy back road. The truck started acting a little strange after about a half mile, and stalled. I got it started again and turned off the main road, only to have it give out again. When I left the main road I was at N21* 21.231, W157* 44.150. I left the truck just off to the side of the road.

This should be easy, how hard could it be to find a Red Dodge Truck? When you do, the messages are still in the wheel well. You will find several post cards. If you would sign the logbook, take one of the post cards and mail it to Anthony and Katie at:

Pasay City, PHILIPPINES

Better yet, if you are not from Hawaii mail one from your home.

Who are Tony and Katie? They are the son and daughter in law of two Bay Area cachers, that I meet at a Birthday Party in Campbell. These two young people are able to get into town once a week, and mail is there only contact with home. If you don’t get out to find the cache, you can mail them a card anyway. Their parents have a similar cache in San Jose California (GCPNDN) and so far 10 cards have been mailed. With a little Aloha Sprit, and am sure we can add to that number.

Ok, since I need your help, I will give you as much information as I can. I started at N21*20.557,W157*44.572. I think I drove about 6 10ths of a mile before turning off the main road. Not sure but I may have left the lights on. The battery would be dead by now, so you best go in the daylight. If you can get the truck started, could you drive it out to the highway for me? The key is in the ignition.

Thanks for your help, and drive safely.
