Nomahegan Park has a nice 2 mile walk around the outer limit of the
park and along the Rahway River. There are a series of exercise
stations and numerous benches along the lake, two playgrounds and
extensive BBQ facilities. There are several free music festivals,
craft shows etc over the spring, summer and fall.
The intended and ideal way to do this cache is to park at the
suggested parking (N40 40.080, W074 19.072) and walk counter
clockwise (CCW) around the lake. The coordinates above are for the
first stage which contains the coordinates for the final stage. It
is very close to a wide dirt trail that leads off from the main
paved path. Return to the main path and continue CCW. The final
stage is about a one minute hike off thru some minor brush. Cache
is a 7"x4.5"x4.5" Lock&Lock container and contains the usual
kid's swagger. Please rehide well. You can continue CCW back to the
main car park. You will have have walked a nice healthy level two

For those who don't have the time or inclination to walk the
full two miles around the park, you can park close to stage 1 at
the end of Park Dr at N40 40.036 W074 18.771. For stage 2, there is
a small car park at N40 40.422 W074 18.654. Walk 300ft NE on
Kenilworth Blvd and enter the woods opposite Dorset Street.
