This is a small container with room for swappable things. The notebook contains my notes from virology in the front, so flip it over and start from the back page. It is marked accordingly.
The Chilhowee Gliderport has been in operation since the late 1970's. One of the best gliderports in the Southeast, it offers ridge soaring and decent thermaling to pilots.
The sport of sailplane flying is a mystery to most folks, so this is a chance to see these very cool aircraft being towed to altitude and returning to land. If you're really curious about what it's like, you might take a ride in one of the two-place craft.
The cache is hidden on the same of the grass runway as the parking area, so there isn't a reason to walk onto the runway. If you're caching with children, they are welcome, but must not be allowed to climb on any planes that may be there, and keep them off of the runway. It is not under the RV parked nearby, so please don't go poking around it. Its residents might not like that.
