Brandis Bear Hunt Multi-Cache
Hengistbury: Rotting logs and changing vegetation have overwhelmed two of the clues of this multi-cache. Thus, after 18 years, regretfully we feel it is time to archive it. Thank you to all the geocachers who joined in the bear hunt.

Are there bears in Brandis Park? Sure! You will be looking for three bears, but they are shy. So you will have to find the first two bears, who will tell you the location of Big Bear, who is guarding his cache of little bears.
The coordinates above are NOT the final location; they are a suggested place you can park, although there are several different ways you can enter Brandis Park. Please be thoughtful of the neighbors, we don't want to scare the bears away. You will be able to follow the trails and should not have to leave them by more than a few feet, please no bushwhacking. Tree cover may cause GPS readings to jump, so let your geosenses kick in. Below are the coordinates you will need to find the first two bears, who will lead you to the cache. You can't claim a "find" unless you find all three bears. BEAR #1 is at N44 35.974 W123 16.070 (new co-ords: his first home rotted away, so he has found a new one close by). BEAR #2 is at N44 35.968 W123 16.134 (new co-ords: his second home rotted away, but he's pleased with his new one). As this is a bear cache, it would be great if you have a small bear or bear-related object to exchange. Happy hunting!
