Schau ins Land

Dies ist mein erster Cache, den ich versteckt habe!
Er liegt auf einem Berg und wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, mit einer sehr schönen Aussicht.
This is my first cache which I have hidden!
It is on a mountain and how the name suspected with a very beautiful view.

Warum habe ich gerade diesen Platz gewählt?
Vor allem ist es ein sehr schöner Platz und es steckt auch ein bisschen Arbeit von mir mit in diesem Turm.
Why have I just chosen this place?
It primarily is a very beautiful place and a little work of me also is in this tower.

Dieser Turm war in früherer Zeit ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel. Erst als mit den Jahren die Bäume zu hoch wuchsen ließ dies nach und der Turm verkümmerte. Mit der Zeit wurde dies ein unansehnlicher Platz.
This tower was a popular destination of the outing in earlier time. This fell off and the tower was stunted because with the years the trees grew too highly. This became an unsightly place with the time.

Im Jahre 2003 erfuhr er dann seine Wiederbelebung, als er im Rahmen einer landesweiten „72 Stunden-Aktion“ von der Landjungengruppe Kulmbach-Nord restauriert wurde. Einige Bilder zeigen dies. Die Gemeinde Mainleus erhöhte im letzten Jahr (2004) schließlich die Aussichtsplattform um einige Meter, so das auch wieder ins Land geschaut werden kann!
It then underwent its resuscitation in 2003, in the context of a nationwide "72 hour action" the country people group "Kulmbach-Nord" restored it. Some pictures show this. Eine kleine Anekdote gibt es auch noch zu erzählen: Einmal suchte ein Wanderer im Nebenraum des Turmes Schutz vor einem Gewitter. Eine Sturmböe blies die Tür zu! Als der Wanderer nach dem Unwetter die Tür öffnen wollte hielt er den Türgriff in den Händen und war gefangen. Erst am nächsten Morgen wurde er aus seiner misslichen Lage befreit. Jetzt wisst ihr warum im Nebenraum der Riegel des Schlosses fehlt!
There is also to tell a small anecdote: A hiker looked for shelter from a thunderstorm in the side room of the tower once. The storm blew the door! When the hiker wanted to open the door after the thunderstorm, it held the door handle in its hands and was caught. He was freed from his awkward situation only in the next morning. You know now why is missing the bolts of the lock in the side room!

Um zum Cache zu gelangen parkt man am besten in der Nähe des Dorfes bei
N 50° 07.251' E 11° 23.646' und läuft die restlichen 1,5 km bis zum Cache.

To reach the cache best parks nearby the village at N 50° 07.251' E 11° 23.646' and goes the remaining 1.5 km up to the cache.

PS: Bevor es Fragen hagelt, der Turm heißt eigentlich "Schau dich um"
