This 2,071 meters altitude cache is located near the Austrian town of Obergurgl, from which it is accessible via an easy mountain path.
To reach the cache, start from the village of Obergurgl in Austria, 1960m altitude. Wear your boots and be ready to walk a couple of hours in the nature.
You will easily find yellow signs pointing to various trails, some of them are circular (i.e. start and end in Obergurgl). Our cache is located along trail 6, but can also be reached easily from trail 5. Both 5 and 6 are circular trails. There are two alternative ways of getting there, they can also be combined in a circular hike of circa 2 hours.
Way 1. Follow path 6 to the very nice Rotmoss waterfalls. This path continues uphill until it reaches a plateau where you can see a big green sign in 3 languages warning you not to leave the trail. At this point you can turn left (i.e. opposite way to path 7), and you end up in trail 6 on your way back. You will start to find some sticks labelled with decreasing numbers (23, 22...). Our cache is very close to number 19.
Way 2. Follow path 5 starting from Obergurgl, you will encounter some helpful "magic sticks" labelled with progressive numbers. Around stick 15 you will found a flat area, with a bench and a stone reporting the direction of path 5. This is the point where you should leave path 5 and go opposite direction (i.e. path 6, to the right). The magic sticks will continue, and the cache is near number 19, really along the path.
