The more caches we do the more we realize that some cache owners
really go above and beyond when placing a cache. As I've gotten
more and more addicted to finding geocaches, I've found myself
reminiscing about some caches I really enjoyed doing. I know that
not everyone has the free time to "chase down" as many as I've been
lucky to find so I thought that I'd take a bit of time to list out
some of my most favorite caches. I had decided to wait until I had
hit the 1000th cache mark so I would have a large body of work to
review, but I didn't realize how hard it would be to narrow it down
to twenty or so caches.
I started reviewing my caches by writing down "special" or "very
well done" caches, ones that I particularly enjoyed doing. My
initial list was almost 100 caches long! As a side note, I only
included caches I completed on the way to my first 1000 finds.
Since then, I've already done others that would rank on this list,
but you'll just have to wait for me to hit 2,000 for that list I
guess : ) I looked up my statistics and out of my first 1000
caches, I did 981 of them in Michigan. I/we have been blessed with
many fantastic cachers who've gone out of their way to place very
well done caches in Michigan. If you get a chance, try some of
these caches before they get archived. If they’re archived, they
may still give you some ideas when you’re ready to place your own
cache. The caches in red writing have been archived at the time
this cache was placed.
