Geocache Description:

A short hike in the York Regional Forest

This is an easy 3 part multi – the final cache is hidden in the middle of the York Regional forest. I parked on Davis Drive at 44 05.300 079 19.921 , other entrances are on McCowan and #48 , There are many wonderful trails to enjoy and the area is very popular with dog walkers and horse riders.
A note of caution: like most of the forests in the area , there is poison ivy so be prudent. Wear long pants, keep to the trails, and don`t eat any white berries! The cache is hidden approx 10m off the trail and is 2 ft. off the ground.
Stage1 : The published co ordinates will take you to a sign that gives a bit of info on the forest. Take the year that the forest was replanted, subtract 1797 and plug this number into 44 05.120 ; 079 19.xxx This will lead you to something metal with a number on it
Stage 2 : Add 186 to this number and plug it into 44 04.975 ; 079 19.xxx for the final.
Final : The entrance to the small trail that leads to the cache is approx 10 m due W of the stage2 marker. You are looking for a small white plastic container, that contains the excess trading items from Anchor Park , the last 10 Neolithic arrowheads from Mali [ Sahara Desert ] and a travel bug
