Göljefallet is the highest waterfall in the Örebro area
Göljefallet (även benämnt Skinnarsågsfallet) ligger i kilsbergssluttningen 15 km NV om Örebro. Trots att platsen är sevärd är den för de flesta okänd.
Redan under 1600-talet fanns här på platsen verksamhet av vilken få spår finns kvar idag.
Under vårfloden 1951 brast dammen i sjön Göljan som ligger dryga kilometern NV om fallet. Vattenmassorna som släpptes fria när vattennivån i sjön sjönk med närmare tre meter gav skador på både mark och byggnader nedströms. Än idag ser man hur det lilla vattendraget på många ställen har en extra älvbrink en bit upp från dagens nivåer.
I närheten av Göljefallet bildades 1932 föreningen Närkes Skogkarlars Klubb.
Sedan cachen placerades har tillgängligheten till området ökats genom tillkomst av bl.a markerad led och närbelägen grillplats med vindskydd.
Göljefallet (also known as Skinnarsågsfallet) is located in the slopes of Kilsbergen 15 km NW of Örebro. Despite being worth a visit only a few have heard about it.
Already in the seventeenth´s century there was activities on this spot, of which few remains are left.
During spring flood of 1951 the dam in lake Göljan, just over a km to the NW, broke. The amount of water that came flushing down the slopes while the lakes water level sank almost three meters damaged both land and property. Still today the traces can be seen as an extra river bed a bit higher up than today´s level.
Just nearby the fall the Forest Men´s Club of Närke was founded in 1932.
Since the cache was placed the access to the place has been improved thanks to a new path and nearby fireplace with shelter.
