Perles Beach Approach Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

KDcool919: I checked to see if the cache container was there and it is not. The cache had been hidden in an old stump that burned during the fire. The stump was overturned and the cache was probably removed. I decided not to replace the cache due to the fire that happened here and also because of the landslide that removed the official trail. Perles beach can still be accessed by the water.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on angel island and I placed it while camping there with my family, momagna (DDSB).

The road that leads to the cache has been closed due to a landslide. Despite this there is still access to the cache. Follow the perimeter road to the orange netting near the landslide area, just to the left/east side of it there is a small trail that connects with the road to the beach. Please use caution and avoid the landslide area. I recommend parking your bike at the top of the trail. The cache is now an Ammo Can, which should prevent the raccoons from chewing it up. There is room for TBs and trade items.

Once you are done finding the cache walk down the stairs to check out the beach, it has a really nice view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
