This cache is located on Casey Dome, one of the highest points in the township of Casey (1250 ft + or -, oxygen support optional). The cache is a 30 cal ammo can covered by the standard debris.
Ticks? Poison ivy? This is Northern Wisconsin. Of course there are ticks and poison ivy. And mosquitos and deer flies, too. Wasp nests have been reported in the area during the summer. Be careful. Prime whitetail hunting grounds. Forget the orange, just don't cache during season.
Back in 2005 there was a reasonable trail that approached the cache from the south, but that has pretty much been grown over and is hard to follow. There also, back in 2005, used to be some really nice views to the south from the general cache location, but the trees and foliage have grown up in the ensuing years and wiped the views out for the most part.
