Geocache Description:

Near Lock & Dam 5A, on the Mississippi River. Rather over-grown trail along the top of the dike, and rocks will need to be crossed so where solid footwear.

Parking for this cache is available at the picnic area near the Prairie Island Campground, and at the entrance to the McNally Landing, part of the "Tour the Wildlife Refuges" puzzle cache. For more information (visit link)

Take a moment to check out the dam, where people will likely be fishing. On the side of it are indicators of where flood waters crested during various years of flooding. Hopefully this year won't be one of them :-). Original contents include a "lace craft" kit, bug-catching set, expandable towel, deck of Harley Davidson playing cards, a log book and a White Jeep 4X4 Travel Bug.
