Ammo box located between Shawnee Park and the paved walking/biking trail behind it. There will be a slope to contend with. This cache should be sought only during the day.
Because this area is somewhat pristine (in certain enclaves) and because lots of animals find an ecological advantage to living close to the river, (and because I had enough animal-related stuff to put into an ammo box), I decided to call this cache "Animal Planet." It has nothing whatsoever to do with the TV show of that name.
This cache shouldn't be too difficult, especially since today (08-31-05) I laboriously recalculated the coords and improved them, I think, significantly. The clear, sunny day helped a lot. Look for the obvious spots where a nature lover like me would stash an ammo box.
You'll encounter some poison ivy and stinging nettle if you approach from the river side, less from the Shawnee Park side. I didn't suffer any mosquito bites. I don't think they like me very much anyway.
