Geocache Description:

1st leg at a nice war memorial, gravel walking path toward 2nd and most difficult leg. All within Paul T. Billups Park. Both are difficult hides. Keep an open mind.

THIS IS A TWO STEP CACHE! Finding the first leg is fun but doesn't count till you find the second leg.

The area now occupied by a town park, a senior center, a school, an ampitheater, and a war memorial was once called the "PONY PASTURE". It was a favorite spot for the local kids to ride dirt bikes, play Army, and splash in the creek! It's a lot more "civilized" now but it's still a good spot for us to play outside!

The first set of coords gets you to the War Memorial. Stand between 1941 and 1945. Look up and salute. Take a bearing of 110*(degrees) on your compass or GPSr and step off 9 paces (two steps to a pace). Look for the "JUNGLE" set of coords here in a prototype container, usually damp but very readable.

You can follow the gravel walking path toward the other end of the park to find the second leg of the cache. You won't need to cross any train tracks. It's all within the park boundaries. It's a camo quart size peanut jar with log sheets, a pencil, and several trade items.

Be sure to re-hide both of the caches exactly as you found them and cover your tracks to make it muggle proof and more fun for the next finders.
