“Some answers are invisible,” said Morse, “imagine a room in which a murder has taken place. There will be clues lurking in every corner.” Lewis viewed Morse in his usual way, a mixture of respect and friendship. Just take this case, it started before dawn. Morse was asleep after several tots of brandy, well that was his story. The phone rang and he reached for the handset and knocked it onto the floor. "Blast!!!" he muttered as he groped around on the floor. “Morse here,” he grunted."I'm sorry to call you so late sir,” came Lewis' voice, “Im sending a car round to collect you at once. There’s been another murder at the college.”
