85 West at the SCT Traditional Cache
owl1959: There is now an obvious geo-trail that leads to the cache which probably accounts for the cache being muggled. Because the cache is located exactly on longitude 85 degrees, moving it to an alternate location is not practical so we are reluctantly archiving the cache. Thanks to all that have visited the cache.

This was a micro cache located just off the Silver Comet Trail but it has now been replaced by a regular cache container.
Original Description:
"For some time, I have considered placing a geocache at the intersection of N 34º and W 85º. Today, I received a micro geocache as a FTF prize in a cache not too far from N34º/W85º (Thanks, Big Rick). It occurred to me that a better place to hide a micro would be the intersection of 85º west longitude and the Silver Comet Trail. I’ll leave the spot at N34º/W85º for someone else.
The cache is a shiny, but tiny, nitroglycerin pill container that contains only a very small log. Bring your own pencil (BYOP). The original cache was taken so the replacement is on the ground covered with leaves near the base of a small hardwood tree, about 55 feet south of the center of the SCT."
After the cache went missing several times, we have replaced it with a Lock n Lock container about 6" X 9" X 2", wrapped in cammo tape. It's now located a little closer to the trail.
