An Amble Up The Otter Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Black Jack's Pack: Archived because it is no longer a Multi-Cache and I have been advised it cannot be changed to a Traditional cache (which is what it now is).

Have been told I will have to create a new cache, but may not be able to do this in the near future :-(

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A nice level walk along the footpath that follows the River Otter, between the Villages of Harpford and Tipton St. John in East Devon.

The cache is a 1 litre plastic box containing the usual items for swapping and is large enough for travel bugs.

To enjoy the walk up the river, suggested parking is near the church or village hall in Harpford, (coordinates: N 50° 42.307 W 003° 17.381), the footpath starts just down the lane from here.

If you're in a hurry you can locate the cache much quicker from Tipton St John.

If you’re lucky you might spot Kingfishers, Egrets, Herons, Swans, Dippers or Sand Martins along the way.

Once you’ve found the cache you might like to continue along the path to Tipton St John and reward yourself with a drink at the Golden Lion, and then follow the signs back through the lanes to Harpford.

This area is popular with dog owners, ramblers etc. so please take the usual precautions if there are “muggles” about.
