This is my first 'educational' cache.
This is a micro cache (thanks to tvnewsbiz for the tip). It is located in downtown Greenfield, the county seat of Hancock County. About 140 feet East of the cache, you will find a pink piece of granite with an 'x' scratched in it embedded in the brick walkway. When Hancock County was formed way back in 1828, surveyers found the geological center of the new county and marked it on this piece of granite. Greenfield was born in anticipation of the coming National Road. Be sure to visit at the top of any hour to hear that the bell tower of the courthouse is still fully functional. The courthouse was built around 1898 and is the fourth courthouse built for the county. This one seems to be passing the test of time! This cache is tiny so BYOP. Enjoy the hunt!
When replacing the cache, be sure to replace it as found so a passing muggle will not see it, no matter where the muggle happens to glance!
