Geocache Description:

This is a “GOLDEN CACHE” in memory of our granddaughter “Lyndsey” who passed away suddenly at the young age of 1 ½ years from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). The “Golden Cache” is a reminder that Lyndsey is now walking and playing on those streets of gold in heaven.

The cache is children friendly which means it is easy to find. The cache is a typical camo'd ammo box. It is filled with things "Golden". There are a number of Golden Books in the box, but we would appreciate 1 per family so others can enjoy them also.

The coordinates will bring you to a parking spot. There you will find the new coords for the cache. Hint: Coords to the catch will match as follows: N44°06.XXX, W086°00.XXX.

It is hidden on private property so please remember to only leave your footprints. The owner would also appreciate it if you would maintain any pet you bring with you on a leash so as to preserve the natural animal habitat. Also clean up if it does its "duty" on the property.

This property is surrounded on three sides by federal land. You will be entering on a 2-track through federal land before you enter the private property. There is a gate across the drive but you can walk around it.

If you desire a a nice walk in the woods on a 2-track, park at N44°06.216, W086°00.374. This walk will be approximately .19 mile. If you'd like a little longer walk (approximately .3 miles), park at N44°06.292, W086°00.490. This is a small area to pull into off the 2-track.

You will be on federal land for these longer walks. Once you get to the cache site, you'll be on private land.

REMINDER: Hunting season has started, so wearing something "hunters orange" would be a good idea to prevent a sad ending to an otherwise fun caching day.
