A shortish walk along Major Creek. Go past Catherine Creek trailhead about 3/4 of a mile until you come to Major Creek. Go down trail on east side.
With all the Lewis and Clark celebrations going on we thought there should be a cache on Major Creek. The mouth of the creek was a camping spot for the Corp of Discovery on both legs of their journey. The creek is also a micro mini Hell's Canyon. You are getting close when you see the "rocky" stump.
Be careful going down the bank to the cache because the rocks will slide if you aren't careful.
The cache is a medium lock and lock with some nice goodies.
