Geocache Description:

Bend's Small Parks Series #2 - Mountain View

**UPDATE 4-11-06 Name Changed due to wrong name from BPandR when cahce was placed**

Shotgun & Peashooter's Bend Small Park Series, a series of caches located in and around the city of Bend in small urban "pocket" parks. These parks are small and off the beaten path. Most are only known by the local residents living around each of these development areas. Please bring a writing utensil as the cache container only contains a log sheet.

Mountain View Park is a small undeveloped park on the north east side of Bend. This is a multi-cache where you will have to do a little walking to find the answers to the following questions.

The listed coords will take you to a fence post on the north west side of the park. Start walking on the sidewalk in an easterly direction until you get to the south east side of the park. Count the number of sidewalk sections that fall inside of the park boundries (do not count the adjoining sections, only the sidewalk itself). This number will be known as "A".

NEXT: Go to the following coords where you will find a blue sign.
N: 44.04.188
W: 121.15.417
Count the number of holes on the east side of the signpost starting right above the "sleve" that the post sits in. This number will be known as "B".

Now for some math: Take the number of sections of concrete in the sidewalk ("A"), multiply that number times 2 and subtract 26. This number will be a bearing in degrees (magnetic) from the blue sign post to the cache.
Second, take the number of holes in the sign post ("B") and subtract the number of concrete sections ("A") in the sidewalk. Take this number and multiply by 2 to get the number of feet from the sign post to the cache.

Good Luck!
