Step Into Cheshire 2005 - Rivacre Valley 2 Traditional Cache
Cheshire Countryside: Muggled and lost I'm afraid. It had a good run of nearly nine years which isn't bad at all.

A wooded hiding place in Rivacre Valley Local Nature Reserve
This is one of a number of caches placed for the 'Step into Cheshire' event with the intention of encouraging people to explore the Cheshire countryside (see web page listed at top of page). It is intended to replace the original Rivacre Valley Cache which was stolen in July 2005.
Parking is available at the Rivacre Valley car park signposted off Rivacre Road.
Rivacre Valley is a great place to explore the woods and meadows with a range of paths and a good circular route all the way out to the western end of the site where there is a lovely meadow to stop and rest a while. Perhaps you will catch a glimpse of a kestrel or sparrowhawk, as we did after placing the cache. It is amazing that a site so close to the motorway and heavy industry can be so peaceful.
The cache is a standard sandwich box and initially contains a variety of goodies from Cheshire attractions including Tatton Park and the Salt Museum. Some locals take great delight in trashing caches, so take care not to be observed whilst filling in the log.
