INDIANA
SPIRIT QUEST #313
"Burning down the
(court)house"
Welcome to Lanam
Ridge road Cemetery, Jackson Township, Section 9, Brown County. The
first ISQ located in Brown county! This cemetery is located on
Lanam Ridge road in between Nashville and Trevlac. There are stones
dating back to the 1880s and is still in use today. All death
records before the 1880s were destroyed in a pair of fires at the
County courthouse.

There are several Stones dating back to the early 1880s the
first of which that I will present is William Barnes. William was
born in Pennsylvania in 1795 and appears on the census in Belmont
County Ohio in 1840 and 1850. By 1860 he had setteled in Brown
County Indiana.

I do not have any information on Jane Snider, other than what
is on her tombstone, but as you can see, the information is well
preserved. Most of the stones in this cemetery are in quite good
condition.

It looks like some restoration work has been done to stones
in this cemetery, notice the break at the bottom of James Neal's
stone?
The cache container is is a waterprrof
match container. Please leave it at least as well concealed, if not
better, than you found it. If you find the coordinates to be a
