DEVIL'S DEN Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

skyraider: It is pretty obvious by the posts that this cache has to be discontinued. There were no signs around when I placed this cache. I have been coming to this place since back in the 60's and had never seen a no tresspassing sign. I thought this would be a really neat place for a fun cache, but I guess I was wrong. I will get out there and clean up any geolitter and I appologize for any inconvience I caused for anyone.

Geocache Description:

Devil's Den is a beautiful natural rock formation and waterfall.

Did you ever want to vacation in Paris? This is your chance. Paris, Pennsylvania, that is. You would have an awful hard time trying to find the Eifel Tower here. Maybe a cell tower, but that would be it! Paris will be your gateway to the Devil's den. Just drive along Steubenville Pike and look for the sign for "Devils Den Road." Local legend has it that this is where the devil entered his underground lair. It looks as though the only thing it has been used for lately is partying and other premarital things. Great place for CITO !! You will cross a single lane bridge at 40 25.494 W 080 30.406. For you fans of covered bridges, this is the origional site of the "McClurg Covered Bridge" that was built in 1880. It was moved in 1987 to the Hanover Township Community Park and reconstructed there. That park is also on Steubenville Pike at 40 25.479 W 080 26.792. It is closed during the winter months. The Devil made me do it!!!!
