Geocache Description:

This cache is in the Montgomery County Park on the Fitness Trail, and is also very close to the Montgomery County Dog Pound. Feel free to check out the dogs in need of a home while in the area searching for this cache. Cachers need a caching buddy and you can find some great ones there if you so choose. For directions click: Animal Shelter. It is open Mon.-Fri. noon-1 p.m. and 4-5 p.m.; Sat. 3-4 p.m.

The first stage will be found at the trail head. It is a dog shaped hide-a-key which contains the coordinates to the cache. When you find the hide-a-key please leave the informational tag in it for the next cacher.

Along the hiking trail you will find some neat areas to test your level of physical fitness (see pictures). The trail is well maintained and it is about a tenth of a mile to the cache, so the hike is not hard. At times this trail can be busy so please make sure you re-hide the cache the way it was so it won’t be obvious from the trail. You are looking for a painted Tupperware container that contains a camera to record your visit, this is NOT a trade item so please don’t take it. I will post the pictures when all have been taken.

The original cache contents are:
log and pen
Dog related items such as toys, leashes and collars
