There are four obstacles between Westly and the Princess:
Inigo Montoya
Fezzik
Count Rugen
Prince Humperdinck
Each of these individuals holds a clue to the whereabouts of Princess Buttercup. Those concerned about the price of horse feed need not fear. Although your adventures will take you through both Guilder and Florin, these countries are so small that all of your carriage-parking places are within a mile or two of each other.
Prince Humperdinck has some unusual ideas about being a prince. Starting a war and killing his bride are just items on his agenda.
Miracle Max has informed you that the Prince is being guarded by the ROUS, and that the ROUS has been taught to communicate using a rudimentary code. Crack the code to find the ROUS and wrest from it a clue to the whereabouts of the Princess.
The ROUS is known to make its nest near paths frequented by unwary travelers. Their burrows are often found under tree bark.
