Geocache Description:

A tough find in the dark.

The cache, originally placed by fishiam, adopted by OldBaldEagle, is not at the posted coordinates!

Mind the oring on mr. bison when handling the container. Thanks.

There is an eerie, wonderful structure in this area. It is too cool not to have more than one cache. This cache is placed in honor of Old Bald Eagle who achieved his 700th find at the Mission 9: Tunnel of Light (APE) cache.

To find the cache you need to do a little projecting with your GPS. The posted coordinates are on I-90. The cache can be found exactly 1.754 miles away at an azimuth of 89.986°. Do a little research so you know what you are getting into.

Good luck !

Add a half star for difficulty if you use the spoiler photo.

The tunnel is closed for 6 months beginning November 1st.

Note added 9/25 after a return visit - bumped this half a star in difficulty as it took ME awhile to find it again.

What you are basically trying to do is figure out how far the cache is located from the west end of the tunnel.

Congrats to nolenator, runhills and TwoJJ for sharing the FTF on this cache!
