This is one of our favourite places. A beautiful walk up from one of our favourite pubs (The Red Lion, Langthwaite – 2 miles). This can make a good circuit when combined with "Booze, but no Booze" cache (1.3 miles).

Please take care as this area is littered with old lead mine workings. Do not be tempted to enter any tunnels (the cache is NOT in a tunnel) and should you venture onto the moor at the top of the gill be aware that it is a grouse moor and prone to shooting parties!!!
