Geocache Description:

The cache is resting in a seldom-visited side canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. There is no trail leading into this canyon.
Once down in the main canyon, you will be following a creekbed the entire way. GPSR reception is spotty so take the spoiler photos.

Wolf, of the Sr. Hikers, told me about this place called the Blue Gorge in the Santa Monica Mountains where there is no trail and you can see some of the oldest geological formations in the Santa Monica Mountains. According to the book, Hiking Trails of the Santa Monica Mountains by Milt Mc Auley, sixth edition, these formations are over 150 million years old! You can check out the hike description in the book. “Blue Gorge” Hike #67
It has taken a couple of exploratory trips and a lot of work but we found this place and placed a cache just above the Blue Gorge.
Expect this trip to take several hours and bring plenty of water.

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[The cache is located just above the Blue Gorge on the East side of the creek bed. Once above the Gorge, look for the small ledge on the East side of the creek.]
