Geocache Description:

The posted coordinates above are not the actual coordinates. They are a suggested starting location. Note that they are the same suggested starting coordinates for another puzzle cache: "The Peak at the Orthocenter (GCD7AE)", but the actual locations of the two caches are some distance apart. If you come up with better starting coordinates then please include them in your log.

Once you have solved the puzzle (using the name of this cache) and determined the coordinates you must round-down the latitude to the next thousandths of a minute and then subtract 0.030 from it (e.g. 32 degrees 12.3456 minutes becomes 32 degrees 12.315 minutes). Then subtract 0.0415 from the longitude (e.g. -111 degrees 12.9876 minutes becomes -111 degrees 12.9461 minutes).

The cache is an ammo container. Please sign the logbook and properly reseal any opened ziploc bags. I've placed some maps and other items into the cache. I'm refraining from being more specific about the initial items in the container to avoid providing clues to the location of the cache. I ask that you do the same in your logs i.e. keep it generic when appropriate.

At the time the cache was placed a direct path from the suggested parking location to the cache took you through a rectangular parcel of Arizona State Trust Land (permit required). The parcel number is 21204003J As of early 2017 the owner appears to be Pima County instead of the State of Arizona so apparently it's no longer trust land.

You can use the Arizona State Land Department parcel viewer and the Pima County Department of Transportation MapGuide to help you avoid any state trust land. Or you can get a permit, if necessary, from the Arizona State Land Department.

I strongly urge people to wear thick, long-sleeved, shirts and pants. Knee pads, gloves, and good boots come in handy too. Watch out for little cacti. If a group of people attempt this cache, watch out for tumbling rocks from the person above.
